Yet another day in Sätrahallen south of Stockholm. It's time for the Hammarby Games - Hammarbyspelen - where I have a special interest this time. It's the first competition for my oldest son, David. He's running 60 m today and 200 m tomorrow. A good opportunity to get used to the environment, the preparations, the mental aspect of it all and of course - the race.
I also took the opportunity to take a few photos of his training buddies, Bianca, Kristina and Helle competing in the short put.

The light conditions in Sätrahallen is... let's call it challenging. Taking photos with the kind of shutter speed needed for freezing sprinters in mid run isn't easy. But it's fun trying!

Täby Vinterspel, or Täby Winter games, is an indoor athletics competition held annually in Stockholm, Sweden. Despite being named Täby (a suburb just north of Stockholm), this year it took place in Sätra, in the direct opposite part of the city.

I was there to watch a few of the competitors from my oldest sons training group and while I enjoyed watching the competitions, I took some photos as well.

Just over 1400 Santa Clauses gathered in central Stockholm, Sweden for a charity run of 3 km through the city center.
Needless to say, it was a sight you're not likely to forget.

Tjurruset, The Bull Run in English, is a muddy, wet, trail run held every year on a couple of different locations in Sweden. This particular event was just outside Stockholm, in Kungsängen.
The shorter version for kids - 3 km - is called Kalvruset and there's two distances for grown ups - 5 km and 10 km.
